Our Speakers

Dana Suell, CHEP, TCFP N2 -  Speaking on Disaster Planning
Dana currently works for Children’s Health System of Texas (CHST) as the Emergency Management Program Manager.  She has worked for CHST for almost 12 years.  During her tenure, she focused the first 9 years on HazMat and emergency management, with the last 2+ years solely on creating an Emergency Management Program for the entire CHST system, which includes 3 hospital campuses, 50+ offsite clinics and business occupancies, and a Home Health division, under the Trauma Services department.  Dana also manages the hospital decontamination teams (Dallas and Plano), chairs the three Emergency Management Committees, for each hospital campus, and is heavily involved in the community.  She is the CHST liaison to local, regional, state, and federal agencies for preparedness, response, and recovery activities related to executing and evaluating emergency management exercises and actual disaster events.

Veronique Maston - Speaking on the  Journey to Patient and Family Excellence
Former Regional Patient Experience Advisor, Press Ganey Associates, Senior Human Resources Professional, Project Manager and Business Analyst with 15+ years of experience directing the development and implementation of Patient Family Centered Excellence concepts, Human Capital Solutions (HCS), operational management and performance improvement analytics. Proven ability to identify, define and lead organizational structure and change management essentials aligned with business goals, while providing the catalyst to optimize performance, enhance productivity, and drive sustainable outcomes. Repeated success guiding cross-functional teams and steering organizations through complex transitions within some of the nation top performing health care organizations. Experienced in providing counsel and vision around global CAHPS initiatives linking service excellence, quality outcomes, patient safety, performance management, leadership development and workforce engagement; working knowledge of CMS regulatory insights/ programs.

Toni Watkins
Antoinette “Toni” Watkins MS, RDN is currently the System Food & Nutrition Service Director for Riverside Health System in Newport News, VA. Her new role expands across 15 sites including acute and lifelong health. She relocated from Dallas, TX where she was the Director of Food, Nutrition & Conference Services for Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. Toni has a seasoned background which has included clinical operations, retail management, room service development &implementation, internship development as well as strategic food service project management.
